A proposed coral growth field study
Our proposed study uses RadGear rotating aquarium displays. We invite reef aquarium content creators and coral dealers to help document what works, what does not, and what needs further investigation. Benefits remain hypotheses to test.

Three questions, separate comparisons
The proposed study separates individual coral rotation, directed wash flow, and magnetic exposure. The wash and feed towers also deliver coral food and aerate the surrounding water when air is supplied. The wash, feed, and aeration outlets are angled 30° downward, creating vortices and swirling flow around the corals. The towers distribute magnetically treated, nutrient-rich saltwater around the corals after it passes through the magnetic chamber. Feeding and air settings must be documented and controlled for each comparison. Keeping these comparisons separate helps avoid attributing a result to the wrong feature.
Match conditions and record changes
Use matched parent corals where possible, independent aquarium systems, consistent feeding and lighting, and clearly documented device settings. Magnetic-exposure comparisons need appropriate sham controls and systems without a shared sump.
A proposed observation schedule
The current pilot outline includes two baseline weeks after healing and stabilization, followed by twelve treatment weeks. Weekly photos and water-parameter records support the study. Final assignments, rotation settings, capture schedules, and analysis must be locked before treatment begins.
Measure outcomes honestly
The primary proposed endpoint is change in validated coral surface area. Record survival, tissue loss, maintenance, and deviations as well. Improved growth, color, food assimilation, or skeletal strength is not an established RadGear benefit; negative and unchanged results matter too.
Express interest in participating
Reef aquarium creators and coral dealers can select field-study participation on the interest form. Joining the list does not confirm enrollment, device availability, or study costs; those details will need to be agreed before participation.
